Artist's Comments

A series Ad for a Public Service Announcement campaign.
This campaign is to increase awareness about the current global situation in which minors are enlisted into armed groups and included in military activities. It aims to address the ever present need to protect these children from danger, and to provide them with an education and a better future.

The Red Riding Hood character was used as a symbol which stems from children's stories to represent the innocence and vunerability of a child. However, here the representation of the character is slightly warped, as an illustration of the flawed and one-sided perspective that these children are exposed to.

Did a color grading as previous copy
was an export from direct raw.
Color grading and text layout was also
improved for Crowbar submission.

Hmm i think it'll be better if the red is more striking as opposed to a more subdued desat look ^^ It sends a more prominent message across.

I like the one-point lighting in the images...makes the mood of the images more dramatic.

Now THIS is good advertising. So much of the stuff in the Ad gallery isn't advertising at all, but this is great work. Very strong, get the message across. Excellent.

this is brilliantly made
but it would convey the message better if the little red riding troop was an actual kid... i didnt get that atall untill reading your comment
